The Ministers “took the opportunity to underline Canada’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and to promote Canada’s brand as a global leader in exploration and mining development.”“Canada remains one of the global leaders in sustainable development, innovation, environmental stewardship and Indigenous engagement. This Summit is a unique opportunity for mining leaders to come together in a multi-sector dialogue to discuss common issues, share experiences and collaborate,” said Carr. Freeland added: “I am thrilled that Toronto and Canada are welcoming the mining world at PDAC this week. We are firmly committed to seeing trade and investment in overseas markets benefit local communities while enhancing economic growth in Canada. This is an important opportunity to continue highlighting Canada’s leadership in corporate social responsibility and mining around the world.”last_img read more
