first_img Mark Ballas Star Files Dancing with the Stars was all about Broadway on its November 7 Showstoppers telecast. Tony winner Idina Menzel was a guest judge and also performed “Queen of Swords” from her album idina. Also on tap was two-time champion Mark Ballas—the Broadway.com vlogger and Jersey Boys headliner returned to the show to sing “December, 1963 (Oh, What A Night)” while Derek Hough and Marilu Henner did the samba. COMMUNITY NEWS: COMHALTAS LETTERKENNY HOST SUCCESSFUL ‘TRAD FOR TRÓCAIRE’ EVENT

first_imgComhaltas Ceoltóirí Letterkenny News:Comhaltas Letterkenny Branch held a very successful ‘Trad for Trócaire’ session in Letterkenny Shopping Centre on the afternoon of Sat.17th Oct. The sum of €832 was collected for Trócaire by local traditional musicians and collectors. The Branch would like to extend its gratitude to all local shoppers who generously contributed to a great cause. Thanks and appreciation are also due to the management of the Shopping Centre for its help and cooperation.The Branch also held its AGM on Tues.20th Oct. The secretary reported another very successful year and the following officials were elected for the coming year: Chairman: Mick Foy; Secretary: Paddy Tunney; Treasurer: Seamus Gibson. The new Branch PRO is Ronan Brophy. Branch membership is now due and may be paid to any of the officer board at the weekly Tues.night session in Gallaghers’ Hotel which commences at 9.30pm.All musicians are very welcome to come to our weekly Session to play a few tunes with us. We are delighted to see new comers at our Tuesday night session.Music ClassesMusic classes take place every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in Full Tilt Studio beside Highland Radio. Classes are for beginners and intermediate students. All instruments are catered for in the traditional style. We hope to include an adult class in the near future.
